Sony Gives Gamers an Opportunity to Develop PlayStation Games

Gamers often come up with great ideas for video games, but without programming knowledge or experience in game design, most wouldn't actually know how to make one. So all those great ideas usually end up going to waste, but Sony wants to change that by giving creative gamers a chance to help design a new game from scratch.

The game will be developed at The Bearded Ladies Consulting, which is a Sweden-based developer that has previously worked on Playstation games like Landit Bandit and Pipe Madness. One guideline for the development of the new game is that it will have to be an "action platformer", but everything else will be determined by public input. The design will be broken up into weekly challenges, with the first being to create a main character and a mission.
